The Heart Behind Crescent Rose

I've always loved turning ordinary gatherings into memorable experiences.

Whether I'm planning an elaborate birthday treasure hunt, hosting a seasonal dinner, filling my home with flowers, or baking for friends, I find joy in creating moments that bring people together. Creating meaningful experiences for the people I love has always been my love language, and food has simply become one of my favorite ways to express it.

I taught myself to cook when I was seven years old, and the kitchen has felt like home ever since. Friends have encouraged me for years to cook professionally, but I never wanted the thing I loved most to become just another job. Cooking was something I did out of love—never obligation.

Curiosity is at the heart of everything I create. I'm endlessly fascinated by the stories behind everyday ingredients: where they come from, the people who grow them, the traditions they've traveled through, and what makes each one unique. Whether I'm exploring heritage wheat, comparing single-origin vanilla, tending a garden, or preserving citrus at the height of its season, I find joy in discovering something new and sharing it with others.

For years, that creative part of my life existed alongside a corporate career. Then an unexpected layoff gave me the chance to ask myself a question I'd never truly considered:

What if I built a life around the things that have always brought me the most joy?

The answer became Crescent Rose.

Today, Crescent Rose is where my love of gathering, curiosity, craftsmanship, and thoughtful hospitality come together.
